Pastor Cheo Thomas Jr. is a 29-year-old Baltimore native, born and raised in the Edmondson
Village community of Baltimore City. He is a graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools,
graduating high school from The Edmondson-Westside High School. Raised in church, Pastor Cheo received his call to ministry at the young age of 13 and began serving in various capacities at New Life Worship Center under the leadership of his godfather, Bishop Lewis Peterson, and his late godmother, Lady Virginia Peterson.

After years of faithful service, training, and spiritual development, and with the affirmation of the Joint College of Pentecostal Bishops and the Joint College of Bishops of Delmar, he
successfully completed the ordination process and was ordained as an Elder in January 2018
after passing the local church examination board.

In 2021, his ministry expanded beyond the walls of the church when he founded God’s Will
Fellowship Church—now known as God’s Will Resources—in Anne Arundel County to
provide practical support and resources to those in need.

 

In 2023, he was elected Interim
Senior Pastor of New Commandment Church and entrusted with the responsibility of restoring the legacy of Apostle Ruth Johnson. Under his leadership, the church has experienced renewed life through consistent outreach efforts, community feedings, and Community Bible Study, faithfully serving and strengthening the Homestead community for the past three years. Pastor Cheo faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of New Commandment Church for three impactful years. On January 28th, he transitioned from the office of pastor in obedience to the next divine assignment, moving forward to advance the work of ministry and the Kingdom agenda beyond the pillars of Kirk Avenue, embracing a broader vision for regional impact and Kingdom expansion. For three years, he led with a passion for preaching, discipleship, and community transformation. He is also the Founder and Leader of the Kingdom Partners Alliance, established in January 2025, which provides spiritual covering and leadership oversight to multiple pastors and churches along the East Coast. Known for his dynamic, relevant, and authentic teaching style, he bridges biblical truth with everyday life in a way that inspires both faith and action.

He received his ministerial training through Bible Way College and the Christian Leaders
Institute. Through dedicated study and successfully passing the National Counselor
Examination (NCE), he has earned the right to serve as a Licensed Spiritual
Counselor—Clinical Endorsement (LSC-C), allowing him to minister with both spiritual depth
and clinical wisdom.

Pastor Cheo is a devoted father of two beautiful children, Kaleb and Brielle Thomas, and
considers fatherhood one of his greatest callings. With a heart for people and a deep burden for the city of Baltimore, he remains committed to seeing lives healed, families restored, and believers empowered to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
